Allie Lull is an expert in creating beautiful artwork with alcohol inks. This workshop will be held Monday, May 20, 9:30am-12:30pm at the St James Community Center. The fee is $70 and includes all materials. Make your check to SUFA and send to Nancy Adelis, 3863 Ridgecrest Dr, Southport, NC, 28461. Indicate the workshop name on the check. And make sure you provide email and phone number on your check.
Proceeds support county art scholarships and school grants.
Carol Kidd Workshop: Creating Marbleized Note Cards Friday, June 7 - 9:30am-Noon This workshop will be held at the St James Community Center and is limited to15 students. After a demonstration, participants will create marbled decorative paper. Students will leave the workshop with 4 note cards with envelopes, and two sheets of marbled paper which can be used to make additional cards, book covers, gift wrap, book marks, etc. Bring: plastic gloves, aprons, and wear old clothes! $48 fee, inclusive of materials - made by check payable to Stepping up for Arts – SUFA, a 501c3 non-profit – should be sent to Nancy Adelis, 3863 Ridge Crest Drive, Southport, 28461 - or left on her porch.
Carol Kidd has been an artist for many years pursuing her craft in oil painting, silk scarf design, and hand crafted wine glasses. She has served as the Aritsans President and is currently the President of the Franklin Square Gallery.

Plein Airs in St James
Art in the Park Plein Air - Woodlands Park - May 25, 10am-3pm
The St. James Artisans and Stepping Up for Arts will be hosting ART in the PARK at the Pavilion in Woodlands Park on Saturday May 25th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. This Memorial Day weekend event will feature artists showing their artwork as well as working in Plein Air at their tables or by the lake. Artisans will be displaying original creations including baskets, pottery, jewelry, paintings, glassware, ornaments, woodwork, wreaths and floral arrangements, knitted items, and shell art. Artwork will be available for purchase at this event! Bring a friend! Bring your family! Looking forward to seeing you at ART in the PARK!
