Anne McMath has been painting her whole adult life. She received her art education in Denver at a school owned by a Colorado painter named Harold A. Wolfinbarger. She started painting in oils but was introduced to watercolor and has been painting in this medium for over thirty years.
She is known for her brightly colored palettes and loves the accidental effects of the medium. Since moving to North Carolina seven years ago, she has been a member of The Associated Artists of Southport. Anne is also a member of the Wilmington Art Association, the Smithville Art League on Bald Head Island and the North Carolina Watercolor Society.
