Starting as a hobby, to make her own jewelry in the style and colors she wanted, Pat Gavin has been creating clay beads for over 10 years. At first the beads were extremely simple, as she was only trying to create for herself, but things have changed over the years.
As time has gone by and with self-study and encouragement from friends and others clay artists, Pat has expanded her view of the medium and her practice. No longer just a hobby, it is now a passion and she works at it every day.
Taking cues from the world around us Pat loves to create beads reflecting in the bold colors and the stunning patterns of nature. The colors of canyons, forests, deserts, flowers, oceans, storms, sunsets: Some soft and muted, some bold and brilliant, somefluid, some geometric, but all a part of our world.
